This documentary film was commissioned by Dillard Academy Charter School and produced through my company, EMP Productions LLC. The school required a professional documentary for state reporting and accreditation purposes, and I managed the full production—from planning to final delivery. I hired and coordinated a 5-person crew to support lighting, sound, photography, and post-production. I conducted all interviews with teachers, staff, and students, and shaped the documentary’s narrative through camera work, editing, pacing, and sound. This video later became a key part of my portfolio and directly contributed to my hiring at the N.C. Department of Public Instruction, where the Communications Manager recognized my ability to match NCDPI’s visual style and produce high-quality educational content.
